Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GeoIPHub website (geoiphub.com), the GeoIPHub API, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you (the “Customer”) and GeoIPHub (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. The Service

GeoIPHub provides a developer-focused REST API that returns IP intelligence data including geolocation, ASN/ISP information, VPN/proxy/Tor detection, threat indicators, WHOIS, reverse DNS, and fraud risk scoring.

Access to the Service is provided through subscription plans described on our pricing page. Each plan has a daily request quota; all plans return the same set of response fields.

3. Account and API Keys

You must register an account to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and for any activity performed using them. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You may not share, resell, or sublicense your API keys without our prior written consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Build or distribute a service that competes directly with GeoIPHub by re-packaging its data.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract bulk datasets beyond what your plan's daily quota permits.
• Use the Service in connection with stalking, harassment, or surveillance of individuals.
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure, for example through denial-of-service attacks, rate-limit evasion via key rotation, or fingerprint spoofing.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without refund.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or yearly basis through our third-party payment processor. Card details are entered directly into the payment processor's checkout and are not stored on our infrastructure.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account's billing dashboard.

Pricing is in U.S. Dollars (USD). We may change prices upon 30 days' notice; price changes will not affect your current billing period.

6. Refunds and Cancellation

All payments are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your plan stays active until that date. We do not issue partial or pro-rata refunds for unused time. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.

7. Service Availability and SLA

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service except where a written Service Level Agreement (SLA) has been negotiated in an Enterprise contract. All other plans are provided on a best-effort basis.

8. Data and Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described there.

GeoIPHub aggregates and classifies IP-level metadata from public sources. The Service does not knowingly process the personal data of identifiable individuals. IP addresses queried via the API are processed solely to return classification results.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, data feeds, classifications, scoring algorithms, and documentation, is owned by GeoIPHub or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your subscription plan.

10. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant GeoIPHub a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose without restriction or obligation to you. We are not required to keep feedback confidential.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IP intelligence data is probabilistic. We do not warrant that classifications, scores, or geolocation results are 100% accurate. You are responsible for any decisions made using the Service's output.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEOIPHUB'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100.

IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GeoIPHub and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. We will notify you of any such claim and may participate in its defense with our own counsel at our expense.

14. Force Majeure

GeoIPHub is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network or hosting-provider outages, denial-of-service attacks, acts of government, or natural events. Obligations affected by such an event are suspended for the duration of the event.

15. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and emailing app@geoiphub.com for account deletion.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or risk to the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Warranty Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) continue to apply.

16. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms bind and benefit each party's permitted successors and assigns.

17. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect, and the unenforceable provision is modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and GeoIPHub regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before taking effect.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. You agree to resolve any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service in a court of competent jurisdiction, except where binding arbitration or a different forum is required by your local consumer-protection law.
