GeoIPHub exists to democratize IP intelligence. Accurate geolocation, threat detection, and fraud prevention should be accessible to every developer — not locked behind expensive enterprise contracts. By building in the open, we create better, more trustworthy tools for everyone.
What Makes Us Different
Unlike traditional IP intelligence providers, our core scanning engine is fully open source under AGPL-3.0. We use behavioral analysis to detect residential proxies, active port scanning across 109 ports for protocol verification, and aggregate data from 60+ public intelligence sources. You can self-host the entire stack with zero vendor lock-in.
The Technology
The scanning engine is written in Rust — 14,000+ lines of code across 22 feed modules processing 60+ intelligence sources. The API layer runs on NestJS with PostgreSQL and Redis. The entire pipeline is self-healing: drop the database, and it rebuilds from public feeds within 24 hours.
